About

“If you do not breathe through writing, if you do not cry out in writing, or sing in writing, then don’t write, because our culture has no use for it.” ~Ananias Nin

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

This is my breathing, and crying, and singing; this is my journey and my journal. I love words. I love writing them, reading them, making them, discovering them, and rolling them around on my tongue. But before my love of words comes my love of God. This is the culmination of my loves: my struggle to live, to love, and be holy as He is holy written out in words. I often find that words are not enough, but I try anyways because I cannot help myself. Words are integrated deep into the core of my heart.

Veronicah Rose is not my real name. Perhaps I am a coward not to own up to these words of mine, some would call me wise. It does not matter really, in Β reality is this was the only way I could obtain a blog. Living in the real world with real people reading this it is as much of a safety precaution as anything. Such is life, my friend. Yet I think it gives this place (if you can call it a place, since it doesn’t exist but in pixels) an air of mystery, and mystery is something I greatly approve.

I should warn you that I may not always be politically correct, I probably won’t dress up my failures. I guarantee you that this prose won’t be perfect and my poetry will most definitely contain some slant rhyme and uneven syllable counts. Perfection is overrated in my opinion. Journeys don’t always lead over perfectly paved paths, and dirt roads have individuality. Everybody knows climbing mountains builds character, though they seldom agree while they’re in the process of ascent. So here it is: take it or leave it, but do not go away unchanged. I did not begin this blog to simply tell you about my life; I want my life to impact yours as well.

  1. Sounds like this will be a very interesting blog!! Can’t wait for you to start blogging πŸ™‚ (And I’m super curious if I know you in real life or not!) πŸ˜‰

    • You found me already? Word certantly travels fast in the mennonite blogging realm. Hmm, I could tell you…or not, but I won’t. It would ruin the fun .;) I start tomorrow, see you then!

      • The only way I found you was cuz I saw it in my blog stats that someone was referred to my blog through yours… Hmmmm I really have no clue who you could be so never fear, I’ll probably never figure it out!

  2. I discovered your blog through Susie. I’m excited to read your future posts. The ones so far have been interesting and I can relate to them. I love how you refer to your school as your daily missions field. It’s mine too, but I had never thought of it quite like that.

  3. Hello Veronicah,

Thank you so much for the lovely comments you’ve left on my blog.

Little pieces of encouragement like that are what keep me writing, lol. If you enjoyed it, if any of it was truth, then it was worth it.

Nothing like someone meeting your soul, and being able to relate to it. πŸ™‚ So you’re an odd girl, too, are you? And perfection, yes, SO overrated.

I’ll be coming back here, too. πŸ™‚

    • And thank you to you for this lovely comment on my blog, you’re right, it’s what keeps me writing.

I love your latest post, though I decided that it might be annoying to comment a third time.

Oh yes, I’m an odd girl too, though it helps when you have an odd family to go with it…

  4. I’ll remember that in the future, though you may end up with a comment on every single post πŸ˜‰ . And I have this sneaking suspicion that that was more than one word…

  5. This is the perfect about me page! Eek! Love it.

Wow girl, you even write awesome in your blog description. I’ve never met someone who uses words like you. That’s awesome!

  7. Happy Thanksgiving, sister.
